revolutionary radio goes unsigned

The Covid 19 Pandemic meant a lot of things to a lot of people. To myself and Frank it meant we were no longer able to present our Revolutionary Radio Request Show live from the Phonic FM studios. As massive music fans this was devastating, it wasn't just the music we were missing out on but a personal friendship of over 25 years had been put on hold. I, personally, had to find a new way of getting music out there which never seems to be played on mainstream radio. 

I found a music software programme and taught myself how to create and edit shows from home; these would be played out live via our Myriad system at the studio. The volunteers at Phonic FM used their time to broadcast pre-recorded shows and that's what I did for approx 25 shows.

The music and bands I started to follow, during the lockdown, were unknown, unsigned and/or emerging artists who relied on us local radio DJ's to play their music.

During the past 18 months I've built up a large Radio, PR and Artist family who communicate and share music on a regular basis enabling me to compile shows which are over 90% new music.

I started the Emergent Unsigned Radio Show early in 2021 where I dedicate a lot of my spare time finding, sharing and playing bands and artists in need of a little boost; on the radio waves. The shows are submitted to my Soundcloud page and all bands/artists are tagged on all social media platforms, before, during and after the show plays on Phonic FM.
